The co-founders of Advise and Curate, David and Leenie Engel, bring a lifetime of art-world expertise to your quest for “good” art.
Leenie is a life-long artist, designer, and color expert. Educated in fine art and design, experienced in the business of consumer products creation, and a passionate art collector to boot, she has been making and loving art for decades.
David, while primarily a businessperson, successfully treads the line between entrepreneur and creator, bringing a design-focused, practical approach to the equation. He understands the art of business and the business of art.
Advisory clients always have the benefit of working directly with David and Leenie, the co-founders and principals of Advise and Curate.
David and Leenie have served together and separately on several museum boards. They were the driving force behind three annual Art and Architecture Weekends in metro Phoenix, exposing hundreds of attendees to the synergies between fine architecture and fine art.
Together, David and Leenie have amassed a formidable, yet fun, art collection that focuses on modern, contemporary, and outsider art and objects. With their creative backgrounds, charitable experience, and collecting history, they are uniquely qualified to break down the barriers to the seemingly formidable mysteries of the art world.
